Artist's Description

'The House Across The Way' is a graphically enhanced photograph of the view my parents had of 'The House Across The Way'. It was not a digital photograph and I can't even recall what type of camera I used back then.

I do recall scanning the original Kodak print-out with a Hewlett Packard scanner using Precision Pro 3 software.

The photo itself was taken December 24, 1990 while my husband and I were on a long overdo vacation. On the far edge of the canal, swimming happily is the 'Black Swan' my mom loved so much. In any event, never knowing or meeting my parent's neighbors we simply referred to this view as 'The House Across The Way'.
